I have a membership at Audible. I’ve been a member there since I was living in Japan. At the time, it was really hard to get good books in English. Mostly the bookstores there only had the “popular novels” (you know, mass-market fictions). The shipping time and cost from Amazon.com didn’t make it very practical either.
But with Audible, I can download the titles I want to hear, store it on any compatible player (Rio, Palm, iPod, more), and take it to-go. It is perfect for people who want to learn while they commute. I’ve heard some incredible things that you might want to check out. (I’ve listed the links to Amazon below, since you have to be a member of Audible to get all the titles.)
My personal top favorites in Spirituality are works by Eckhart Tolle, Neale Donald Walsh, and eastern/Buddhist writers such as Pema Chodron. Here are just some of the titles I’ve enjoyed:
